The East Bay Leadership Council and Diablo Magazine have joined forces to recognize community volunteers and philanthropists in the East Bay through our Threads of Hope event. This new collaboration carries on the 12-year legacy of the East Bay Philanthropy Awards and celebrates the region's compassionate heart through stories of great works and great generosity.

The Capitol Series

The Capitol Series brings elected officials from Washington D.C. and Sacramento face to face with East Bay Leadership Council members. We hear from the elected officials about their priorities and save plenty of time for questions focused on the issues that matter to East Bay employers.

Since 2021, we have held virtual Capitol Series events that are available on our YouTube channel.

State of the East Bay

State of the East Bay is an annual event with a tradition of bringing together the President of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the Chair of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors for a discussion on issues spanning the region. It is a good opportunity to learn about what is being done at the county government level.

Advocacy Day

The East Bay Leadership Council works in collaboration with other regional economic development organizations to hold an annual trip to Sacramento. We discuss our top public policy priorities with our East Bay delegation and elected officials in key leadership positions across the state.

But that isn’t the only time we spend in Sacramento. As important legislation comes up for debate you can find us in committee hearings and on capitol steps. We ensure that our voice is heard by elected leaders.
